Since 2016, my post-masters clinical work has entailed providing psychotherapy and behavioral health services across integrated healthcare, outpatient, and private practice settings.
From 2016–2023, I worked within primary care practices at Newton-Wellesley Hospital (a Mass General Brigham hospital), where I provided counseling to adults, and collaborated closely with physicians and other medical specialists to optimize their care. This experience deepened my understanding of the relationship between mental and physical health, and strengthened my commitment to whole-person, integrated care.
I provided outpatient psychotherapy in a private group practice in 2024 and 2025.
I established my own private practice, Psychotherapy With Emma, LLC, in 2026.

My pre-masters clinical training included work in academic advising, community mental health, residential treatment, and early intervention settings.
Through these experiences, I supported college students, children, adolescents, and families facing a range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
My clinical training experiences provided me with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, systems-based thinking, and the importance of understanding people within the broader context of their relationships, environments, and life experiences.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE

Outside of my clinical and teaching roles, much of my time is spent with Saffi, my rescue dog from the streets of Aruba. She weighs 100 pounds, has a big personality, and occasionally makes an appearance during virtual sessions if you're lucky!
Having spent my life in Massachusetts, I've developed a deep appreciation for the changing seasons and the natural beauty of the New England area.
Photography is one way I slow down and notice those details. Whether it's a walk along a beach at the Cape, the colors of a Newport, RI autumn, or an interesting space or streetscape in Boston’s Back Bay, I'm drawn to the ways our environments shape how we feel and experience the world around us.
I love filling my home with plants and fresh flowers, and I often find inspiration in nature, architecture, art, and design.
On the weekends, you’ll find me searching for a great breakfast spot, enjoying an oat milk latte (always hot, no matter what season!), exploring the flower garden, or watching a documentary on just about any topic you can think of.
